As many of you know, due to my history of blood clots I had to do injections twice a day for the duration of the pregnancy and 6 weeks post partum. I'm not complaining but am thankful that these injections allowed me to have a baby with less risk and am really thankful that they are done.

When I first starting giving myself the injections I couldn't imagine doing them for the whole pregnancy. It felt daunting, so I decided to keep the empty syringes. It gave me a certain satisfaction to add to the pile with each injection done and to be able to visibly quantify how far I'd already come.

So before I figure out what to do with them all (art project anyone?), I thought a photo was in order for posterity...
